The Spring drive this year was in June. Our annual 3-night trip to drive some great roads in western NC and a few in TN. We had a total of 13 cars, 2 of them were from PA. Thursday evening, we drove to Maggie Valley for dinner, at Frankie’s Italian Trattoria. Delish!! Friday, we drove on the infamous Tail of the Dragon, had lunch at Dragon City BBQ, great selection of food, then we stopped at Killboy for photos with the metal dragon, however way to crowded. There was a traffic jam in the parking lot! We drove on to the TVA Dam for a group photo. On Saturday, we went a bit further west and drove the Cherohala Skyway. We even discovered a new favorite road that everyone commented on, Wayah Road. One member nick named it, the “Porsche Eater”. (no one was hurt, but the 2 Porsche, road debris) Sunday on the way home, a couple of us stopped to see Dry Falls, in Highland, NC. It was a great weekend! No speeding tickets, no car troubles and the perfect weather for our top-down driving weekend. Here are a few photos from the 111 that was taken. LOL
